Is JROTC a recruiting ground for the military?
Absolutely not. Instructors do not recruit and neither does the curriculum. JROTC's mission is to "To motivate young people to become better citizens.

Are uniforms required?
Yes, wednesdays cadets must wear a uniform. Mondays and Fridays are PT days shorts and tennis shoes are preferred. Any other day dress as the CCHS handbook prescribes.

Is there any cost?
No, the JROTC is funded by the government. Uniforms and all materials required are paid for.

Is physical activity required?
Yes, mondays and fridays are PT days. Also, cadets must take a physical exam known as the cadet challenge at the end of the year.

Is there a special hair cut required?
Yes, please refer to rules to see the requirements.

Are credits earned?
Yes, 1 credit per semester completed unless in early bird where 1/2 credit will be earned. After earning 2 credits the lifetime wellness requirement is satisfied and after 3 the government requirement is satisfied.
